Flows Like Water

While walking the dog a few nights ago near the beach a sudden fog settled across the fields, about 15 minutes later the fog started to recede and appeared to be flowing off the high ground like water. Shortly after the picture was taken the fog cleared almost completely.

Longest Day

And the sun sets on the longest day of the year. Taken from the Headlands at Marske overlooking the wind farm at Redcar.

Visitor

On top of Dale Head in the Lake District we came across a pair of British Tortoiseshell butterflies. At least I think that's what they are.I can only imagine they were opportunistic visitors because they didn't look suitably well prepared for the normal conditions up there. One of them stayed still just long enough to get its photograph taken.
