First of all I'd like to say I had a pretty normal and responsible father and a normal safe childhood. With that said and looking back we did some pretty adventurous stuff as kids and I've tried to carry that on with my offspring.
This photo looks less than responsible but in actual fact the water was only a few feet deep below the ice. I increased the shutter speed to eliminate blurring and increased the aperture.

Black and White

I spent several winters in Norway with the army and the one thing that struck me on my return to the UK was the colours. It was a similar sense on our walk at Sutton Bank but I have exaggerated the feeling using black and white.
